Big news!

I started a new website with my partners Sophia Rossi and Zooey Deschanel! Today’s our soft launch, but in a very short amount of time you’re going to see a fully loaded website with all sorts of amazing content.

Please check out our first video (which features Rob Delaney, Jill Kushner, Tess Lynch and her LOVELY fiance, as well as many other faces you’ll probably know) and get ready for more giggles to come.

We’re also on Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter, so please check us out there.

Also, thanks to all of my family/friends/readers/anyone who’s ever helped make my life a better place. I feel like I owe at least part of this exciting news to all of you. :D

Pretty cute

“I missed the whole RSS thing but do have a Google Reader account—it’s stacked with fashion and art blogs and nothing related to tech and I never visit it. I overloaded my Google Reader initially and now there’s too much noise for me to handle. I’m sure I could fix the problem by deleting some sources, but don’t have the time. I much prefer human curation rather than the stream of a Google Reader.” —

Human curation for the win. (Percolate shout out.)

J. Roddy Walston and the Business - Brave Man’s Death

Saw these guys last year in Red Hook. Figured they’d be a thing. Excited to find them this summer - figure they’ll be coming to me live somewhere in Brooklyn.

“Though still in its infancy, personal 3D printing technology already shows the same disruptive potential as the original printing press. Just as moveable type spread across Europe and democratized knowledge, the proliferation of 3D printers eventually promises to democratize creation. Broken dishwasher part? Download the relevant CAD file and print it out in plastic. While Amazon made trips to the store seem dated, 3D printing will make ordering (some) things online feel positively quaint.” —

The next Napster? Copyright questions as 3D printing comes of age (via futuramb)

@sarah_passe and i heard this futurist, ray kurzweil, speak about the 3D printed stradivarius violin, and call me old fashioned, but i still don’t understand this concept. 3D printing? (to be quoted when 3D printing is mainstream, and i look like a luddite.)
